From Tragedy to Hope: An #AmazingMom's Journey in Advocating for Children's Healthcare
Advocating for Children’s Healthcare with the R Baby Foundation
Moms are truly amazing and it’s a privilege to celebrate them this week and every week throughout the year. They not only impact our daily lives, but they’re also making a difference in our community.
I got a chance to connect with Phyllis Rabinowitz, an #AmazingMom who battled through a tragic loss to make a difference for other moms and families through her incredible work advocating for children’s healthcare.
Phyllis is the Co-President of the R Baby Foundation, an organization she founded with her husband Andrew after a misdiagnosed infection led to the loss of their young daughter nine days after her birth.
They created the R Baby Foundation to help newborn babies receive the highest quality of care and service through supporting education, research, training, and life-saving equipment. It’s alarming to know that not all emergency rooms, doctors, and healthcare facilities are equipped or knowledgeable in handling emergency infant care.
We’re honored by Phyllis’s willingness to share her story and applaud her strength and determination in turning the most difficult situation a parent can experience into a message of hope and positive change.
R Baby Foundation recently launched a campaign to help bring life-saving care to children who need it on Change.org. You can find their petition below:
