Remembering, Honoring, Teaching: Partnering for a Purpose with Wreaths Across America

To me, one of our greatest responsibilities of living freely in this country is to honor and support those who serve our nation and sacrifice so much for so many. With Veterans Day approaching, I'm excited to share an incredible nonprofit organization with you that is doing very meaningful work. The mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom.

On Saturday, December 16th, something truly remarkable will happen across the United States. Over 3 million gravesites will be adorned with living balsam wreaths as part of National Wreaths Across America Day. As Executive Director, Karen Worcester says, “We are not here to ‘decorate graves.’ We are here to remember not their deaths, but their lives.”

This week, on a special episode of Celebrations Chatter, I had the privilege of speaking with Karen, a true patriot whose passion for honoring our veterans is contagious. I'm proud to say that 1-800 Flowers.com has partnered with her and Wreaths Across America to pay tribute to those who have selflessly served our nation. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the friends and family in your life who are or were servicemembers and share their stories with pride and honor.
