Breaking Barriers: Disability Employment Opportunities with Walter Stockton

Every individual deserves an equitable chance to share their unique skills and talents. In this week’s Celebration Chatter, I had the privilege of sitting down with Walter Stockton, the driving force behind IGHL Family of Services. This Long Island-based nonprofit provides unwavering support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Walter and I share a history that spans all the way back to 1994, when my brother became a part of the IGHL family leading to the launch of Smile Farms. Together, we've championed the significance of person-centered care and stand united in our commitment to ensuring individuals with special needs lead the most fulfilling lives possible.

We’re releasing this episode on the heels of October, which is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and it serves as a reminder to celebrate the advancements of those with disabilities in the workforce.
