Pawsitive Impact: The Joy of Canine Companionship
How Dogs Improve Our Lives with the American Kennel Club
Pets bring joy to so many people every single day, including my own family. To celebrate National Dog Day coming up on August 26th, at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC., we’re not only highlighting the special bond between humans and their dogs, but looking at how dogs improve our lives.
I was thrilled to talk to Brandi Hunter Munden, Vice President of PR and Communications at the American Kennel Club, about all the ways that our favorite four-legged fur friends can help us live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. We discuss the incredible connection between dogs and their humans and the grief they leave behind when they ultimately cross the rainbow bridge. As Brandi said, “The only thing that’s bad about dogs is they don’t live as long as we do”.
For more than 130 years, the American Kennel Club has been the country’s authority on all things dogs, acting as the premier resource for dog lovers. AKC knows that being a dog lover is not a pastime; it’s a way of life – and they want to help all dog owners make every moment count.
Best,
