For patients in memory care and hospice, receiving flowers is more than a gift; its a visual moment of love and connection.

I recently sat down with Karen Wooldridge, co-founder of Bluebirds & Blooms, to learn about their inspiring mission to deliver repurposed flowers to seniors facing memory loss and long-term illness. What started as an idea over a cup of coffee has blossomed into a nonprofit that has delivered over 90,000 bouquets across Minnesota, brightening the lives of those who need it most.

In this episode of Celebrations Chatter, Karen shares the story of how Bluebirds & Blooms turned a small act of generosity into a powerful, ongoing movement. It’s a perfect reminder that sometimes, all it takes to make a lasting impact is to take action—even when it feels uncertain.

As we celebrate our caregivers for National Caregivers Awareness Month we’re proud to feature both Karen and her co-founder, Laura Hogan, as the #AmazingMoms of the month.
