Creating Social Impact through Laughter with Alison Moore, CEO of Comic Relief US

They say laughter is the best medicine, and nobody knows this better than Alison Moore. Alison is the CEO of Comic Relief US, an organization that helps raise money for charitable efforts by harnessing the power that laughter has to bring people together.

Comic Relief is making a profound impact on many people’s lives, and 1-800-Flowers.com has now partnered with Comic Relief US’s Red Nose Day program to help end the cycle of child poverty. Together, we hope to make a difference in the lives of children in need by demonstrating the healing impact that laughter has on us all. The money raised by the campaign will be used to fund over 50 trailblazing programs throughout the US and around the world to keep children safe, healthy, educated, and empowered.

Alison and I discuss the difference that Red Nose Day has made in the UK and is now making in the US, and explore the impact that comedy can make on an individual and societal level. We had a lot of fun recording this episode, and we hope you enjoy listening to it too!
